Safeguarding: Creating the Culture

• How do you create and build a safeguarding culture, taking into account your structures, systems, staff, skills, structure, strategy and shared values? Aimed at DSLs and those in leadership, this workshop will give you key areas to think about and strategies to apply in your own context, including engaging all staff, parents and students. 

Executive Function: what is it and how to support students with EF struggles 

• Executive function and self-regulation skills are the mental processes that enable us to plan, focus attention, remember instructions, and juggle multiple tasks successfully. Difficulties in EF are common for many students with neurodiversities. This workshop will talk through the areas of Cognitive/Mental flexibility, Working memory and Impulse-control, providing some practical approaches and strategies to take away.
