Founded in 2021, Lau-Ed emerged as a vital response to the sharp rise in suicide rates and mental health concerns intensified by the Covid-19 pandemic. Driven by a commitment to support our communities and enhance safety, we set out to make gold-standard suicide intervention training accessible to everyone. We began by delivering the highly respected, evidence-based LivingWorks programs—ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) and safeTALK (suicide alertness for everyone).
